Services and crops
Which crops do you work with?+
Contract production covers wheat, paddy and mustard, and other crops and varieties on request, subject to applicable law and approvals. Our own certified seed for direct sale is wheat and paddy.
How does contract seed production work?+
You tell us the seed, quantity and season and we agree a plan and sign an agreement. We issue your seed to our farmers, supervise the crop, then harvest, process, test, pack and dispatch, with lot-wise records. See Contract Seed Production.
What is the difference between contract production and trial seed?+
Contract production is bulk multiplication of your seed at scale. Trial and research seed is a small, exact lot grown for your testing and evaluation. See Contract Seed Production and Trial & Research Seed.
Which crops can I buy as certified seed?+
Wheat and paddy. See Certified Seeds.
Do you sell seed directly?+
Yes, SADF certified wheat and paddy seed. See Certified Seeds.
Capacity, quantities and delivery
How much can you handle?+
We work with 1,000+ farmers across about 15,000 acres a season, and an automated, high-capacity plant. Minimum quantities depend on the crop and stage.
Do you have covered storage, and how is each variety kept separate?+
Yes. We have covered storage of about 30,000 MT. Each variety and lot is stored separately with variety isolation, so seed is not mixed and stays traceable from harvest to dispatch.
What is the minimum quantity you can produce?+
It depends on the crop and the stage. Trial lots can be small and exact; bulk production is planned around acreage. Tell us your requirement and we will confirm what works.
What is the typical lead time from agreement to first delivery?+
Seed follows the crop calendar, so timing is planned season by season. Your proposal sets out the timeline from agreement to dispatch.
Can you provide pre-production samples?+
Ask us when you enquire. We will tell you what is possible for your crop and season.
How is seed delivered?+
Packing and dispatch are part of the service. We agree the delivery arrangements with you in the agreement.
Quality and confidentiality
How do you make sure seed quality is maintained?+
Our field staff supervise the crop through the season, check isolation and remove off-types. After harvest the seed is cleaned, graded, tested and packed in our own plant, and every lot carries records that trace it back to its field.
Is your seed government-certified?+
Certified seed of varieties from government institutes is produced as per Punjab's certification process, via the SATHI portal, under the certification authority's supervision.
How do you keep our genetics confidential?+
Client material is kept separate from other varieties, with separate records, and our godowns are registered under our seed producer licence in Punjab. Seed you supply as proprietary is not grown for or shared with anyone else without your written consent. See Contract Seed Production for more.
Can we sign an NDA?+
Yes. For trial lots we can sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before you share full details. Ask for it when you enquire.
What happens to rejected or off-type seed?+
It is not released as seed. It is sold as grain, for example as eating wheat.
Pricing and getting started
How is the work priced?+
Each project is priced once we know the crop, quantity and season. The proposal sets out the terms in writing.
I am a company outside Punjab. Can you run our trials or produce our seed?+
Yes. Send a business enquiry with your state, what you need and your crop, and we will come back to you. Business enquiry.
Can we visit the fields and the plant?+
Yes, we are happy to show you. Ask us when you enquire and we will fix a time.
What should I include in my enquiry?+
The crop and variety, the approximate quantity, the season, and whether it is a trial lot or bulk production. A few lines are enough. We will email you to understand the rest.
How do we start?+
Send a business enquiry with your crop, approximate quantity and season, and we will follow up with a proposal. Request a Production Proposal.
